Exclusive: Fulham submitting bid for one of two Tottenham stars who may leave
Fulham are readying a bid for Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Højbjerg after Man United knocked back a £17m Scott McTominay offer, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs have told the 28-year-old midfielder that he is free to find a new club following the £40million signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United.
While Gray may also be utilised at right-back as well as in midfield, Spurs are already well stocked in central midfield going into the new Premier League season.
After being rebuffed by Manchester United in their attempt to sign McTominay, Fulham have turned their attention to the Dane.
Regardless of what happens with Højbjerg, Spurs could still be willing to let Oliver Skipp join Leicester City should they receive a significant offer.
Fulham want Højbjerg to add midfield muscle
The London club are seriously lacking in midfield numbers. Only Tom Cairney, Harrison Reed, and Sasa Lukic are capable of holding down the fort in the centre of the park.
At 28 years old, not only Højbjerg add a wealth of Premier League experience to a small Fulham squad, but he would be able to fit seamlessly into the starting eleven.

Højbjerg only started nine of his 36 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season, Ange Postecoglou has preferred Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr ahead of him since taking over.
Despite finding Premier League game time hard to come by, Højbjerg started every single game of Denmark in their Euro 2024 campaign.
In other news, expert believes Crystal Palace centre-back would be perfect signing for Liverpool.
