Exclusive: Fulham’s two-man signing plan ahead of January revealed

Fulham are looking to sign a striker and a central midfielder in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Cottagers sit 15th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone as things stand.

Marco Silva was left furious in the summer as Fulham failed to get signings over the line early.

Sources say that the club are now aiming to bring in a centre forward and a central midfielder in the January window to reinforce the Portuguese manager’s squad.

Fulham have striker issues to address

On Friday (14 November), Fulham confirmed that Rodrigo Muniz is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian, who has already missed a large portion of this season, could be out until February.

Raul Jimenez has had fitness struggles of his own in recent times, and Fulham have been forced to use the likes of Adama Traore up front this term.

The Cottagers will be hoping to address the issues in January by bringing in a reliable centre forward.

Marco Silva sack update

Meanwhile, Silva is facing growing questions about his position as Fulham manager as a result of what has been a disastrous season so far.

Football Insider revealed on 14 October that Fulham currently have no plans to sack Silva and are in ongoing talks about renewing his deal at Craven Cottage.

However, sources say that if results don’t improve quickly, the club will be forced to pull the trigger.
