Exclusive: Harry Wilson edging towards Fulham move as plan revealed
Fulham may look to cash in on Harry Wilson in January after signing two new wingers late in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Wilson was on the brink of a departure from Craven Cottage at the eleventh hour after Leeds United held talks over a late deal, but this ultimately collapsed due to a last-minute change of heart from Fulham.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wilson’s future at Fulham is far from secure with the 28-year-old into the last year of his contract, and a January exit on the cards.
Football Insider revealed the full extent of Daniel Farke’s frustrations after Leeds missed out on Wilson, but the Wales international is likely to be on the move as Fulham look to avoid losing him for nothing.
Fulham signed Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin in a £34.6million deadline day deal and also secured the loan signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan, both of whom could limit Wilson’s game-time further.
As a result, my sources have said that with Wilson down the pecking order, Fulham will be open to offers for Wilson in January in a bid to recoup some of the £12million fee they paid Liverpool for him in 2021.

Fulham signings send clear message for Harry Wilson transfer
Fulham overcame an attempted hijack from Sporting CP in their bid to sign Kevin on deadline day, but the successful acquisition of the 22-year-old winger has left Wilson bout out of contract and out of favour.
“Harry Wilson is coming to the end of his contract at end of the season”, I noted on the new Inside Track podcast.
“If Fulham want to ensure they don’t miss out on collecting a fee for Wilson, they might have to listen to offers for him in the January transfer window.
“It remains to be seen if he will sign a new deal at Fulham.
“That’s unlikely right now because Fulham have strengthened out wide, bringing in Kevin and Samuel Chukuweze in the summer transfer window as well.
“That might push Harry Wilson further down the first team picture at Craven College.”

Fulham face difficult January after stagnant summer window
Signing a £34million winger on deadline day would be seen as a big statement in most circumstances, but Kevin’s last-ditch move saw him become only the second permanent arrival of Fulham’s window.
Chukwueze and Jonah Kusi-Asare’s loan deals both include options to buy, but Fulham’s scattergun approach to deadline day saw them open talks with Chelsea’s Tyrique George as Kevin’s move stalled.
Fulham may have added Kevin, Chukwueze and Kusi-Asare to close out a largely unproductive window, and it remains to be seen if these late additions will spell the end for Wilson’s time in West London.
