Exclusive: Huddersfield eye move for Wycombe’s Joe Low amid Championship interest
Huddersfield are eyeing a move for Wycombe defender Joe Low, sources have told Football Insider.
Low was a target for Swansea and Plymouth in the January window, and several Championship sides are also monitoring his situation this summer.
The 23-year-old made 38 appearances for the Chairboys last season, helping them to a fifth-place finish and a spot in the play-offs.
However, Low didn’t feature in either of the two semi-final legs against Charlton, as Mike Dodds’ side were beaten 1-0 on aggregate.

Huddersfield target Low
Last season, Huddersfield failed to make the League One play-offs, losing each of their last six games as they slid to a tenth-place finish.
In March, the Terriers sacked Michael Duff, and after a lengthy search for a new permanent manager, they made the surprise appointment of former Manchester United goalkeeper Lee Grant.
The Yorkshire-based side conceded 14 goals in their final five league games on the way to their lowest finish in 17 years, highlighting the need for heavy reinforcements in defensive positions.
Huddersfield are set for a big summer rebuild, after the club announced the release of 10 first-team players following the conclusion of the League One season, including captain Jonathan Hogg.

Highly-rated Low subject of heavy interest
Low was the subject of a number of bids in January, with Swansea tabling more than one offer in an attempt to prise the defender from Wycombe’s grasp.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Bristol City, making only one senior appearance for the Robins before he made the move to Adams Park in 2023.
Before leaving Ashton Gate permanently, the centre back had loan spells at Eastleigh and Walsall, to help build up experience.
Over the past two years, Low has been a first-team regular for the Chairboys and has established himself as somewhat of a goal threat as well, finding the net eight times in 72 league appearances.
The defender also has two senior appearances for Wales, making his debut against Gibraltar back in 2023.
