'Amazing' - Exclusive: Hutton raves as 'Fantastic' player leaves Aston Villa
Alan Hutton admits he is delighted to see James Chester secure a move to Stoke City after his departure from Aston Villa.
The former Scotland full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has lauded his former teammate for the sacrifices made at Villa Park and insists he deserves to be playing regular football.
The Villans confirmed on Monday evening that the 31-year-old had left the club to join Stoke City on a free transfer following the end of his contract.

Chester spent the second half of last season on loan with the Potters.
Hutton, who played alongside the Wales international during his time at Villa, has been left raving over the centre-back and lifted the lid on what he sacrificed to play for the club.
Hutton told Football Insider: “What an amazing guy, there’s so much to say but it’s not just on the pitch, it’s off it as well. Everything that he went through, especially when he had knee problems, he was playing every single week when he probably shouldn’t have.

“That probably led to him with a big layoff working on his knees so it’s just brilliant to see him getting the move that he deserves. It didn’t quite happen for him at the back end of his Villa career but he gave everything.
“He gave his body, everything, so I’m really happy to see him signing for Stoke and back playing because he’s a fantastic player and a man.”
Chester played a total of 126 times for Villa during a four-year spell at the club.
He made 16 appearances on loan for Stoke last year as the Potters finished 15th in the Championship.
