Exclusive: Jacob Ramsey ‘unhappy’ at Aston Villa as exit nears
Jacob Ramsey has let it be known to close allies that he is “unhappy” at Aston Villa, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old home-grown star is believed to be frustrated with his lack of game time under Unai Emery so far this season.
The possibility of a summer transfer is now increasing, with another big overhaul on the cards at Villa in the upcoming window.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Aston Villa could sell key players this summer as part of a major overhaul of the first-team squad.
Ramsey had hoped for more of a key role at Villa this season, where he has started 18 Premier League games out of a possible 35.
His total of 2,212 minutes played across all competitions is around half of the amount available, while the arrivals of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio further impacted his game time.

Jacob Ramsey eyes Aston Villa exit amid Tottenham claim
Sources say Ramsey could be tempted to leave Villa Park if he is offered first-team football ahead of next season, as he wants to play regularly at this stage of his career.
The midfielder feels he is good enough to be a regular in the starting XI for a Premier League club.
Meanwhile, former Villa scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 7 May that Villa could accept offers for Ramsey ahead of the summer transfer window.
Emery is unsure about where the 23-year-old features in his plans, while concerns about their financial situation could see them cash in on academy products.
Tottenham are long-term admirers of Ramsey and could reignite their interest when the window opens after missing out on a deal last year.

Emiliano Martinez update emerges amid Saudi interest
Alongside Ramsey, another player who has been linked with a move away from Villa Park this summer is Emiliano Martinez, amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
Brown told Football Insider on 7 May that Martinez is unlikely to leave Aston Villa despite the interest and remains an important part of Emery’s plans.
The World Cup-winner is believed to be sceptical of a move to the Middle East and wants to continue to test himself at the highest level.
This comes after Saudi Pro League expert Paul Robinson told Football Insider Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr want Martinez ahead of the summer window.
