Exclusive: Kenzo Goudmijn passes Derby County medical after six-figure bid accepted

Derby County are set to sign midfielder Kenzo Goudmijn from AZ Alkmaar after he passed a medical, sources have told Football Insider.

Goudmijn, 22, is set to sign a four-year deal with the Championship side after they agreed a fee of £600,000 for the attacking midfielder.

He spent last season on loan at Excelsior from AZ Alkmaar, with his performances for the Eredivisie side bringing him onto the radar of Derby.

Goudmijn has already undergone and passed his medical and is expected to seal his move to the Rams in the next 24 hours.

The former Netherlands Under-19 international made 23 starts during his loan with Excelsior, notching one goal and four assists.

He came through the ranks at AZ and has made 20 appearances for the club’s senior side, including five in the Uefa Conference League.
