Exclusive: Kevin Hanratty arrives at Swansea City after Rangers offer rejected
Swansea City are closely assessing Aberdeen product Kevin Hanratty as they ready a move, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old Scotland youth international winger has been training with Swansea in the hope of securing a deal.
Hanaratty, who is currently a free agent, was so highly regarded by Aberdeen they previously rejected offers from Glasgow giants Rangers and Premier League club Aston Villa.
The 21-year-old is primarily a winger but can also play as a more orthodox centre-forward, where his good size and mobility can be used to good effect.
Swansea are on a mission to bolster their squad and want to add Hanratty to new additions Goncalo Franco and Ji-Sung Eom.

Hanratty climbed up the youth ranks at Aberdeen but failed to make a senior appearance for his boyhood club.
In search of first-team football, Hanratty left Aberdeen on loan multiple times most notably at Forfar Athletic where he made 16 appearances and scored once.

He also represented Scotland at Under-17 level making three appearances and scoring a single goal.
The 21-year-old had previously received interest from Rangers and Aston Villa but now looks set to join Championship side Swansea.
It was a relatively uninspiring campaign for the ex-Premier League side last season as they finished 14th, winning 15, drawing 12, and losing 19.
