Exclusive: Kevin Nolan in frame to be Bristol Rovers manager after West Ham exit

Ex-West Ham coach Kevin Nolan is in the frame for the vacant manager’s job at Bristol Rovers, sources have told Football Insider.

League One strugglers Bristol Rovers are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Matt Taylor earlier this week with the club languishing in 20th.

Nolan, 42, is keen to get back into management in his own right after seeing his four-year spell working alongside David Moyes come to an end following the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign.

He is currently an interim assistant in the England Under-20 set-up.

The former Bolton, Newcastle and West Ham star had previous managerial experience with Leyton Orient and Notts County.

Nolan then linked up with Moyes at West Ham in February 2020 – with the pair seeing success at the London Stadium during their four years working together.

The ex-midfielder, who played 401 times in the Premier League, is now keen to revive his managerial career six years after his exit at Notts County.

Nolan also won seven of 15 games as player-manager at Leyton Orient in 2016.
