Pablo Hernandez is set to return a week late to pre-season training at Leeds United, Football Insider has learned.
Leeds’ non-international players, including the likes of Liam Cooper, Kemar Roofe and Kalvin Phillips, returned to training yesterday, with the club revealing on their official Twitter account the players were put through a double session.

A United source has told Football Insider that the United players who competed in internationals after the end of the domestic season have been given another week off by the club, including Pontus Jansson, Mateusz Klich, Ezgjan Alioski and England Under-20 ace Jamie Shackleton.
That group also includes veteran attacking midfielder Hernandez, who has been granted special dispensation to remain in Spain until next week.
The former Spain international is the senior professional at the club and turned 34 in April, and will appreciate the extended break following the physical and emotional exertions of last season.
Hernandez was one of Leeds’ outstanding players and is widely regarded as one of the best in the Championship.
His 2018-19 workload was made up of 39 starts among 41 appearances in all competitions, which yielded 12 goals and 12 assists.
But he cut a desolate figure after United failed to secure automatic promotion and then suffered play-off heartache at the hands of Derby County.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that a Whites fans favourite wanted by Premier League clubs is set to tell Marcelo Bielsa this week that he wants to quit.
