Exclusive: Leeds player makes Ben White claim fans will love, ex-White blown away
Alex Bruce claims that Leeds United loanee Ben White will be almost guaranteed first-team football wherever he ends up next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Leeds and Northern Ireland defender believes the 22-year-old, currently on loan from Brighton, needs to ensure he is at a club where he is happy after his impressive spell at Elland Road.
Speaking about the centre-back’s future to the Leeds That podcast, teammate Adam Forshaw claimed that White “absolutely loves it” at Leeds and warned that the “grass isn’t always greener”.
Bruce claims that playing time will not be a concern for White regardless of where he goes and believes his happiness both on and off the field needs to be his priority.
Bruce told Football Insider: “I think he’s such a good talent and such a good prospect for the future, I think wherever he is going to be he’ll play.
“The most important thing is to go somewhere where he’s happy. You can understand why he’d be happy at Leeds because it’s such a big club.

“Leeds United in the Premier League, they’re as good an outfit as most, especially with the support they have and the history they have.
“It will be interesting to see where his future lies.”
Forshaw told the Leeds That podcast: “He loves it, though. He absolutely loves it here, so who knows? One thing I’ve realised in my own career is, sometimes, the grass isn’t always greener when you think it might be.
“Hindsight’s a wonderful thing, but he’s going to be flattered by the interest he’s getting from other clubs, which is understandable. When you’re loved at a place, and he is loved, sometimes you can take that for granted.”
