Exclusive: Leeds United line up 10 new signings after confirmed news

Leeds United have set their sights on 10 new signings as they prepare to return to the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.

The Whites secured promotion last week and won the Championship title ahead of Burnley with a last-gasp winner against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (3 May).

Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe ended speculation over Daniel Farke‘s future by confirming he will remain as boss into next season – a key development as the club plan for the 2025-26 camaign.

Marathe told BBC Radio Leeds: “Together we are going to build the best squad we can, with every penny we are allowed to spend to be competitive in the Premier League.”

The Yorkshire giants are expected to add 10 new faces to the squad to make that promise a reality in the off-season.

The Leeds chairman referenced the scale of the challenge ahead, acknowledging that all six promoted sides in the previous two seasons have been relegated from the Premier League.

Farke’s side will be desperate to avoid that fate as the club plan growth on and off the pitch – with blueprints in place for a major expansion at Elland Road.

Leeds could green light a number of exits to make way for new faces – with Joshua Guilavogui, Sam Byram and Junior Firpo out of contract next month.

Meanwhile, loan stars Joe Rothwell and Manor Solomon will leave if the Whites do not agree permanent moves for the duo.

Leeds turn attention to England international

Meanwhile, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider (29 April) that Leeds are plotting a move to sign Wolves and England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Leeds plan to sell Illan Meslier and replace him with a top-class goalkeeper, with a number of options on their radar.

The 25-year-old Whites shot-stopper has made multiple costly errors this season, leading to Farke‘s decision to axe him from his starting XI in the closing stages of the season.
