Exclusive: Leeds United work on signing ’20-goal-a-season’ striker
Leeds United are working behind the scenes to bring in a 20 goal-a-season striker, sources have told Football Insider.
The Yorkshire-based side are seeking a goalscorer to lead the line ahead of their first season back in the Premier League.
Sources say that Leeds are eager to bring in an elite forward despite already adding Lukas Nmecha to their ranks,
Daniel Farke’s side are aiming to become the first promoted team to avoid immediate relegation from the top-flight in three years.

Farke not content with Piroe and Nmecha
Last season, Joel Piroe was the main centre forward for Leeds as they won the Championship title and earned promotion to the Premier League.
Piroe was the division’s top scorer, finding the net on 19 occasions, as well as picking up 7 assists across the course of the campaign.
However, despite the 25-year-old’s goalscoring exploits last season, and the signing of Nmecha, Farke is not yet satisfied with his forward line.
Leeds have been linked with Everton striker Beto, and it is thought that the Toffees would be prepared to accept a big-money offer for the striker.

Leeds look to move on unwanted winger
Meanwhile, Everton could reignite their interest in signing Leeds winger Jack Harrison despite opting against a permanent deal when his loan spell ended, sources have told Football Insider.
David Moyes is “desperate” to strengthen his team out wide this summer after losing both Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom when their loan deals expired.
Former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Moyes did not rate Harrison as part of his plans for the future at Everton.
However, if they fail in their pursuit of other key targets for the position, the Leeds man remains on the list of options at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
