Exclusive: Leicester City plan to accept £20m Mads Hermansen offer

Leicester City are planning to accept offers for goalkeeper Mads Hermansen during the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Foxes need to sell some of their star players to balance the books following their relegation from the Premier League, with the 25-year-old high on their list.

Hermansen is seen as one of the most valuable assets at the King Power Stadium and the club have priced him at around the £15-20million mark amid growing interest.

The Danish shot-stopper has three years remaining on his contract which is due to expire in 2028, placing Leicester in a strong position to stand firm on his asking price.

Meanwhile, they have already begun looking for replacements after Football Insider revealed on 20 June that Leicester have made contact with Asmir Begovic.

Leicester to accept Mads Hermansen offer after Conor Coady reveal

The departures of both Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen have left Leicester with limited numbers between the sticks, but they have been working to land replacements.

However, the club’s financial position has made agreements over incoming deals difficult, and they are now planning to cash in on key players and to reinvest those funds.

Football Insider revealed that Leicester have given Rangers encouragement in their attempts to sign Conor Coady as they make progress towards several key sales.

Financial issues have been a constant at Leicester for over a year now, and the club are bracing to receive further punishment for breaches of profit and sustainability rules.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Leicester will be handed a six-point deduction after being charged with breaching PSR – making the need for sales even greater.

Man United and Everton race to sign Wilfred Ndidi

Hermansen and Coady are not the only senior players at the King Power who could be moved on this summer, as Wilfred Ndidi is widely expected to quit Leicester.

Football Insider revealed on 13 July that Man United and Everton want to sign Ndidi, who has a £9million release clause in his contract following the club’s relegation.

A host of clubs have been put on alert by his situation and are prepared to make a move as he is now expected to leave the Foxes.

This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 3 July that Everton will reignite their interest in Ndidi this summer.
