Exclusive: Liverpool backed to complete Antoine Semenyo signing from Bournemouth
Liverpool should sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth as rumours swirl over three of Arne Slot’s forwards this summer, according to Glen Johnson.
The former Anfield right-back told Football Insider exclusively that the Cherries star could be a suitable replacement for one of the three stars linked with an Anfield exit at the end of this season.
Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool, possibly for the Saudi Pro League, continuing to frustrate the Anfield faithful with his subpar performances and incredible misses in front of goal.
Speculation has also emerged over the futures of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, with Mohamed Salah carrying the Reds’ attack throughout the campaign, boasting 33 goals and 23 assists across all competitions.
As a potential replacement, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Slot is pushing to sign RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, and that is unlikely to be the only target at Anfield once the summer transfer window opens.

Antoine Semenyo to earn Liverpool move this summer
Semenyo is one of three Bournemouth stars of interest at Liverpool, Mick Brown told Football Insider, joined by Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez, and understandably so.
The 25-year-old winger has 11 goals and six assists in 39 appearances this season, improving even more after his 10 goal contributions across all competitions last term.
Slot is likely to undergo a squad overhaul this summer, currently working with the squad left over by Jurgen Klopp, and the final third is where the real improvements need to be made.

Bournemouth star to replace one of exit-linked trio at Anfield
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, via Coin Poker, Johnson was asked which forward he would keep out of the three linked with exits. The former Liverpool star said:
“I like all three of them, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be Diaz. When he’s on form, he’s fantastic.
“He doesn’t get as many goals as his ability should allow, but he’s a pain in the backside for defenders, gets the team up the pitch, so if I can only choose one, I’d pick him, but I want them all.”

Asked who would be a perfect replacement this summer, he said: “Maybe Semenyo – he’s quick, powerful, explosive.
“But it would, obviously, be a massive step forward playing for Liverpool. You never know what someone can do until you chuck them in the deep end. I’d probably pick him.”
