Exclusive: Liverpool make Kostas Tsimikas transfer decision

Liverpool are ready to sell long-serving left-back Kostas Tsimikas this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Greece international, 28, has deputised for Andy Robertson regularly this season – playing his part as the Reds lifted the Premier League.

However, Liverpool have decided Tsimikas is not suitable to play in the role long-term with Robertson’s influence waning.

He will be allowed to leave Anfield despite having two years left to run on his contract.

Tsimikas set for Liverpool exit

Sources say a new left-back will be signed to challenge Robertson in the role, with Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez at the top of the list at present.

Change will also come at right-back, with Football Insider revealing on Monday (5 May) that Liverpool will strengthen with a first-choice signing in the wake of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit.
