Exclusive: Liverpool ‘will reluctantly accept £25m Ben Doak offer’
Liverpool will reluctantly accept an offer of around £25-30million for winger Ben Doak this month, sources have told Football Insider.
Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town have both seen bids of around £15million rejected by the Reds.
Palace hold a particularly strong interest in the 19-year-old, who is currently on loan with Middlesbrough.
The Eagles have made regular checks on Doak’s progress in the 2024-25 campaign with sporting director Dougie Freedman watching him in action on several occasions.
Oliver Glasner’s side have identified him as a top target and potential future star with the club keen to add attacking reinforcements this month.
However, the Croydon club now face the prospect of having to double their original offer if they are to land Doak in the winter window.
The teenager has played 21 times in the Championship this term, notching two goals and six assists.

He had made 10 appearances for Liverpool before departing on a season-long loan to Middlesbrough in the summer.

The former Celtic youngster left Parkhead for Anfield in 2022 having already played twice for the Hoops’ senior side.
Palace sit 15th in the Premier League table after 20 games, while Ipswich are 18th after picking up four points from their last two top-flight fixtures.
