Exclusive: Man United accelerate two more ‘ambitious’ signings
Manchester United are working on completing an “ambitious” double deal in the latter stages of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils have already completely revamped their front three this summer, and now want to add a goalkeeper and central midfielder to their ranks.
Carlos Baleba is a target for Man United in the centre of the park, with Ruben Amorim’s side also being linked with Gianluigi Donnarumma to replace Andre Onana between the sticks.
However, sources say that United must first offload some of their unwanted talent before they can return to the transfer market to strengthen their squad.

Man United need funds to complete double deal
After their early window exploits in the transfer market, Man United need to recoup some of the money they have spent.
A number of players are on the chopping block at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils desperate to sell Alejandro Garnacho, as well as Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho.
If they manage to get players out the door, then Amorim’s side could dip back into the market.
However, Brighton are reluctant to sell Baleba this summer, and would likely demand an incredibly high fee for the midfielder.
Similarly, there are doubts over whether Man United would be able to afford Donnarumma, as it would be a difficult deal to complete in terms of wages.

Man United eye Harry Kane move
Meanwhile, Man United are keeping a close eye on Harry Kane’s situation at Bayern Munich as they plan to act on their long-term interest in the striker, sources have told Football Insider.
Kane has a release clause in his contract which will become active in January 2026, with an initial value of £56m, and United are aiming to take advantage.
While any possibility of a move during this summer’s transfer window has been ruled out, his potential availability next year has resulted in a heightened interest.
