Exclusive: Man United could agree multiple January signings
Manchester United could agree new signings in the January transfer window depending on their standing in the Premier League table, sources have told Football Insider.
Man United have had a mixed start to the season but are currently on a five-game unbeaten run as they go in pursuit of a European place.
Sky Sports reported on 11 November Ruben Amorim’s side are not expected to bring in any incomings in January despite losing players to the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, sources have told Football Insider Man United could agree new signings if they are firmly in the race for Champions League football by time the mid-season window opens.
Man United currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, but they are only one point behind fourth-place Sunderland after 11 matches.

Which stars will Man United lose to AFCON?
Man United failed to qualify for Europe after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season.
Amorim’s position at Old Trafford looked to be under serious threat after his side’s disappointing start to the campaign, but their recent run has provided him with breathing space.
Man United are set to lose key players to AFCON, with Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui all expected to be heading to the tournament next month.

While that won’t force the 20-time English champions into spending in January, new arrivals aren’t out of the question.
Man United spent more than £200million in the summer transfer window, but any investment in the squad come the turn of the year will not be close to that level.
Man United could agree deals to boost PSR position
There has previously been talk around Man United’s profit and sustainability (PSR) position and how that could impact their spending moving forward.
Under the PSR rules, top-flight clubs are permitted to lose £105m over a rolling three-year period.
However, Alejandro Garnacho joined Chelsea in a deal worth around £40m over the summer, providing the Manchester giants with a pure profit after he came through the academy at Old Trafford.
Man United could also sell fellow academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo if they find themselves in a PSR bind, with his potential sale likely to bring in a significant fee.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford is expected to seal a move away from Old Trafford in the near future.
The England international is currently impressing on loan at Barcelona, who have an option to buy him for around £30m next summer.
