Exclusive: Man United to sack senior man – Ruben Amorin rages

Man United are set to sack their chief goalkeeping scout Tony Coton, sources have told Football Insider.

The INEOS-led exodus is intensifying after a huge clearout already of senior staff since they took charge of the football side of the club a year ago.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Ruben Amorim has not been impressed by either number one Andre Onana or his deputy Altar Bayindir since he took charge of the team.

The new United boss has made that clear to the club’s hierarchy and they’re now set to take action on the situation by sacking Coton.

He’s next in the firing line as INEOS continues to make difficult decisions that they deem to be in United’s best interest.

Coton is a long-serving member of staff at Old Trafford after originally working as the goalkeeping coach from 1997 to 2007.

Following a spell working as a chief scout for various other teams, he returned to United in 2020, where he’s been ever since.

United have conceded 24 goals in 18 matches across the Premier League this season, with corners proving an especially thorny problem of late.

Man United fans have been fuming with INEOS

Football Insider revealed that United staff are unhappy about a lot of the recent decisions, which have included cost-cutting measures that saw 250 long-serving employees dismissed from their roles.

The owners have also negatively impacted the fans by raising ticket prices which have led to protests outside Old Trafford.
