Exclusive: 'Incredible' Tottenham player developing 'Bit of a problem' - Mills claim
Danny Mills expressed his concern for Tottenham attacker Erik Lamela over his battle with injury.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former England international shared that Lamela was developing a little bit of a problem as he’s never quite as fit as he’d like to be.
The 27-year-old winger has missed Spurs’ last 11 games due to a hamstring injury but Jose Mourinho shared he was hoping he’d be available by the start of 2020.
Mills revealed he thought Lamela’s “incredible” talent couldn’t be questioned but started to show concern as he couldn’t remember the last time the winger played 10 times in a row.
When asked if he’s ever been convinced by Lamela as he seems to suffer from frustrating injury problems, Mills told Football Insider: “I think that’s what it’s down to, it’s injuries.
“He’s got incredible talent, we’ve seen that from time to time, it’s just getting him in a consistent run of form and keeping him on the pitch for long enough to really show that.

“I can’t remember the last time he played 10 games in a row if he ever has.
“And that becomes a little bit of a problem as you’re never quite as fit as you want to be.
“You’re never up to speed, there are always complications when it’s like that.”
Lamela managed 13 appearances before getting injured this season, with him racking up three goals as well as three assists in those outings.
The Argentina international has made 200 appearances for Spurs since joining the club from AS Roma in 2013 and is contracted to stay in North London until 2022.
