Exclusive: Multiple clubs make contact over signing West Ham sensation Mohamadou Kante
West Ham United midfielder Mohamadou Kante is wanted by multiple clubs in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
A number of Championship sides have enquired about Kante’s potential availability in the New Year, either on loan or on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old has been training with West Ham’s first team in recent weeks and is expected to get some minutes in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the near future if he continues his rapid progress.
It is believed that scouts from Championship teams have been making regular checks on the rising star.

Mohamadou Kante impressing for West Ham
Kante has impressed for West Ham’s Under-21s side this term and is close to a first-team breakthrough.
The creative midfielder has scored four goals and provided three assists for the Hammers youth team so far this season, across the Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and National League Cup.
On Friday (7 November), Kante scored the third goal as West Ham’s Under-21s beat Liverpool 3-0, firing a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.
The Frenchman joined the east London side back in the summer of 2024 from Paris FC, but was loaned back to the Ligue 2 outfit last season.
Kante signed a new deal with West Ham last month, with his contract at the London Stadium now running until the summer of 2031.
Jarrod Bowen’s verdict on West Ham exit
Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen is “content” at West Ham and won’t be leaving the club in the near future.

That is despite Liverpool holding a deep interest in the England international as they begin preparing for life without Mohamed Salah.
Sources told Football Insider on 5 October that Bowen looks unlikely to leave West Ham and that notion remains unchanged a month later.
