Exclusive: Newcastle make move to sign Calvert-Lewin, two strikers wanted

Newcastle United are “very keen” on signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old is one of the Magpies’ top two targets to replace Callum Wilson, who will leave St James’ Park when his contract ends in June.

Newcastle have already made contact with Calvert-Lewin’s representatives to register their interest in a deal.

The forward, who has been with Everton since 2016, since has rejected multiple extension offers and is set to leave for free.
