Exclusive: Norwich City agree deal to sign England sensation Reece Wilkes
Norwich have agreed a deal to sign Fleetwood Town’s England youth international Reece Wilkes, sources have told Football Insider.
Midfield sensation Wilkes, 16, made his first-team debut for Fleetwood last season, making a substitute appearance in the 3-2 loss to Aston Villa’s Under-21s in the EFL Trophy.
Several clubs have shown an interest in the England Under-16 international but Norwich have moved to secure his signature as they see him as a potential star in the making.
Wilkes joined the Fleetwood academy set-up at the age of seven and has also represented the Three Lions at Under-15 level.

Norwich have now moved to bring the teenager to Carrow Road in a bid to take his development to the next level.
The Canaries have produced the likes of Todd Cantwell, Adam Idah, Jonathan Rowe and Andrew Omobamidele in recent years.

Angus Gunn, Liam Gibbs, Tony Springett and Brad Hills are part of the current Norwich first-team squad after coming through the ranks.
Liam Manning has been appointed as the new manager at Carrow Road following Johannes Hoff Thorup’s departure before the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Canaries finished 13th in the Championship last term – some 11 points adrift of a play-off place.
Norwich set sights on teenage defender
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (11 June) that Norwich and Stockport County are eyeing moves for Wigan Athletic defender K’Marni Miller.
Miller, 19, started his career at Guiseley before linking up with Wigan Athletic last September.
The exciting left-back made four first-team appearances in his debut season and his potential has alerted both Norwich and Stockport.
