Exclusive: Omari Hutchinson has £35m Ipswich Town release clause

Ipswich Town attacker Omari Hutchinson has a relegation release clause of around £35million in his contract, sources have told Football Insider.

The Tractor Boys’ relegation could alert a number of clubs to Hutchinson’s availability in this summer’s transfer window.

Ipswich are facing a fight to keep hold of a number of their star players after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.

Liam Delap, who has been linked with several top English clubs, has a relegation release clause of £30million in his contract at Portman Road.

Hutchinson could follow Delap out of Ipswich this summer

Hutchinson, 21, joined Ipswich in a permanent deal last summer from Chelsea after helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League from the Championship in the 2023-24 campaign.

The England Under-21 international has scored three goals and provided two assists in 27 appearances in the Premier League this season.

He is under contract with Ipswich until June 2029.

The Arsenal and Chelsea academy graduate notched 11 goals and six assists in 50 appearances last season as Ipswich were promoted to the Premier League.

They will hope Hutchinson remains at Portman Road as Kieran McKenna‘s side line up immediate promotion back to the top flight.

Ipswich star Hirst wanted by Leeds and Burnley

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (23 April) that Ipswich are keen to tie down striker George Hirst to a new deal to ward off potential interest from Leeds United and Burnley.

They see the forward as a potential figurehead in their bid to win promotion back to the Premier League next season.

Hirst is under contract at Ipswich until June 2027.
