Exclusive: Omari Kellyman set for Chelsea move in January

Chelsea are preparing to send Omari Kellyman out on loan in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has struggled for fitness at Stamford Bridge since arriving from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

It is believed multiple EFL clubs are keen on the England Under-19 international attacking midfielder.

Chelsea feel Kellyman could benefit from going out on loan in the new year to regain his match fitness.

Clubs chiefs recognise it is unlikely he will break into Enzo Maresca’s first-team in the near future, with the Blues sitting second in the Premier League.

Kellyman has made two appearances for Chelsea’s Under-21 side in Premier League 2 this term but has been out since August with hamstring and knee injuries.

He joined the Blues in the off-season after coming through the ranks at Aston Villa, where he made six first-team appearances.

The 19-year-old also played at youth level for Derby and has amassed seven caps for England’s Under-19’s and a call-up to the Under-20 side.

Kellyman is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2030.

Chelsea star Dewsbury-Hall

Chelsea are also ready to sell another of their summer signings, with Football Insider revealing on Saturday (7 December) that they have made Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall available for transfer in January.

The ex-Leicester star has made just five league appearances since joining Maresca in leaving Leicester for the Blues.
