Exclusive: QPR agree deal to sign Zan Celar as medical lined up
QPR have agreed a deal to sign Slovenian striker Zan Celar from Swiss side FC Lugano, sources have told Football Insider.
Celar is set to join the west London club imminently, joining following new signings Liam Morrison, Hevertton, and Paul Nardi.
Celar will undergo a medical before joining up with manager Martí Cifuentes and his new teammates.
The 25-year-old featured for Slovenia at Euro 2024, coming off the bench for the last few minutes in their 0-0 group stage draw against England.
His signing is regarded as something of a coup for QPR as a number of other clubs at home and abroad were keen on landing the former Roma man.
Celar signing will give QPR firepower
The forward has made 118 appearances in all competitions for FC Lugano and has chipped in with 51 goals, 14 of which came in the last campaign, as well as 12 assists
Celar has spent most of his career playing as a traditional number nine, but is capable of playing on either wing should the need arise.

Last season, QPR were reliant on 26-year-old winger Ilias Chair for their goals. Chair managed to score seven Championship goals as his side struggled to score.
Scottish striker Lyndon Dykes had a tough time in front of goal last campaign, scoring just six times in 41 league appearances.
In other news, Huddersfield Town have made a move to sign Wolves midfielder on loan.
