Exclusive: Rangers plot six signings in massive spree
49ers Enterprises are set to make money available for Rangers to bring in six new signings as they attempt to close the gap on Celtic this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Rangers remain in the Premiership title race by the skin of their teeth after Sunday’s last-ditch draw at Aberdeen; Ianis Hagi’s 96th-minute equaliser preventing Celtic from sealing it with five games to spare.
The Bears sit 15 points behind their Old Firm rivals and have a goal difference less than half as good as Celtic’s, meaning any hope of a title lift is, albeit not mathematically, out of the question for Rangers.
As a result, sources have told Football Insider that with Rangers looking to bridge the gap next season under the ownership of 49ers Enterprises, a busy summer of transfer business is expected at Ibrox.

Rangers ready to resolve loan deals amid transfer outlay
With Vaclav Cerny, Rafael Fernandes and Oscar Cortes all on loan at Ibrox, sources have told Football Insider that the 49ers will look to establish permanent deals, with Cerny’s signature seen as a priority.
As a result, no less than six new signings will be made at Rangers this summer as 49ers Enterprises look to make a splash in the market, but it’s unclear if that’ll be as well as Cerny’s transfer from Wolfsburg.
Football Insider revealed last month that 49ers are waiting until season’s end to make an announcement regarding Rangers’ next permanent manager, but money will be made available to whoever they appoint.
Sources have told Football Insider that Rangers’ incoming owners are well aware of the chasm between themselves and Celtic, and will therefore make new signings a priority in their bid to strengthen.

49ers Enterprises must hit ground running at Rangers
The first item on 49ers’ checklist at Ibrox is still to find a new manager to take up the mantle from Barry Ferguson, with Football Insider revealing the Rangers legend is unlikely to get the job permanently.
Once an appointment is made, attention will turn to the transfer market, with Rangers in desperate need of high-quality additions if they’re to have any chance of running Celtic close in the league next term.
Signings who make a splash, such as potentially pluckling Scotland left-back Greg Taylor from their arch-rivals, must follow the likes of Cerny, for Rangers’ new era to get off to the strongest possible start.
