Exclusive: Rodrigo Muniz’s stance on signing for Leeds revealed, Fulham work on striker deal

Rodrigo Muniz is content at Fulham amid interest from newly-promoted Leeds United, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (23 June) that Fulham are confident of pricing Leeds out of a move for Muniz, 24, this summer.

The Cottagers have already rejected a bid worth a potential £32million and while the Whites could return with another offer, it is believed only a “huge” package will be accepted.

Fulham are actively exploring the market to add to their striking ranks this summer and are not keen to weaken their attacking arsenal by selling Muniz.

Fulham set sights on new striker

Raul Jimenez is currently the only other out-and-out striker on the books for Marco Silva at Craven Cottage.

Muniz is under contract at Fulham until June 2026 but the Craven Cottage outfit have the option to extend his deal a further 12 months.

He has played 57 times in total in the Premier League with Fulham, scoring 17 goals.

Leeds could be forced to look elsewhere as they look to add enough goals to their squad to avoid instant relegation back to the Championship next term.

The Whites have already wrapped up a deal for one striker – adding Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer ahead of the expiry of his Wolfsburg striker.

Daniel Farke’s side, who face Everton, Arsenal and Newcastle in their first three Premier League fixtures, are also on the hunt for a marquee attacking signing before the 1 September deadline.

‘Burnley to race Leeds for Solomon deal’

Meanwhile, Leeds will reportedly face competition from fellow promoted side Burnley for last season’s loan star Manor Solomon.

That is according to former Tottenham and Man United scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game.

Brown claimed both clubs are eyeing moves for the winger, who remains under contract at Spurs after the expiry of his Elland Road loan.

Solomon scored 10 goals and notched 13 assists in 41 appearances for Leeds in the 2024-25 campaign.
