Exclusive: Rotherham accept Portsmouth January transfer bid for Cohen Bramall
Portsmouth have had a bid accepted for Rotherham United defender Cohen Bramall, sources have told Football Insider.
Former Arsenal youngster Bramall joined Rotherham back in the summer of 2022, when he signed from League One side Lincoln City.
The left-back has since made just over 100 appearances in all competitions for the Millers, but could now be on the move in the final days of the January transfer window.
Portsmouth close in on Rotherham transfer swoop
Bramall’s contract with Rotherham is due to expire at the end of this season, meaning the current window is their last chance to cash in on him.
They are now set to do that, after accepting a bid from Portsmouth for the 28-year-old, continuing the Championship side’s busy January.
Pompey have already made four first-team signings as they look to keep themselves out of the second-tier relegation zone.
Centre-back Rob Atkinson and midfielder Isaac Hayden have already arrived on loan until the end of the season from Bristol City and Newcastle United respectively.

As revealed by Football Insider, Portsmouth have also completed permanent deals for attacking duo Thomas Waddingham from Brisbane Road, and Hayden Matthews from Sydney FC.
John Mousinho’s side are currently 21st in the Championship table, two points clear of the bottom three following a 1-0 defeat to Millwall at Fratton Park on Tuesday (28 January).
Rotherham meanwhile are 14th in the League One standings after Steve Evans’ side came from behind to beat Cambridge United 2-1 in midweek.
In other news, Wycombe Wanderers have responded to another transfer bid from Luton Town.
