Exclusive: Sheffield United agree deal to sign Crystal Palace star Rob Holding
Sheffield United have agreed a deal to sign Crystal Palace defender Rob Holding, sources have told Football Insider.
The Blades have won the race to land the 29-year-old centre-back on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Holding has been frozen out of the Palace senior side this term and has been allowed to leave Selhurst Park on loan.
He was on the bench for the Premier League clash against West Ham in August but has not been in a matchday squad since.
The ex-Arsenal star’s only other action this season has come in the Under-21 side.
Holding joined Palace from the Gunners in 2023 but has made just one appearance for the Eagles.
The former England Under-21 international made 98 appearances during his time at the Emirates Stadium after coming through the club’s academy.
His contract with Crystal Palace is set to expire in June 2026.
