The 23-year-old Hungarian, who plays for MTK Budapest, has caught the eyes of clubs across Europe after impressing for club and country in the last 12 months.
Portsmouth have submitted a £500,000 bid for Kosznovszky, but MTK are holding out for a bigger fee.
Sheffield United have now expressed an interest in Kosznovszky as they look to strengthen their midfield options.
The Hungary Under-21 international scored three goals and provided five assists in 30 games last season.

Last week (5 July), Football Insider exclusively revealed that Portsmouth had made an offer for Kosznovszky.
Now Sheffield United have joined the race for the 23-year-old, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of a Premier League promotion push.
The Blades came close to a return to the top-flight last season, but were beaten in the play-off final by Sunderland.
If Kosznovszky does make the move to Bramall Lane, he will be working under new manager Ruben Selles, after United parted company with Chris Wilder following the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign.

West Brom plot move for Jeffrey Schlupp
Meanwhile, Football Insider has exclusively revealed that West Brom are plotting a move for former Crystal Palace man Jeffrey Schlupp on a free transfer.
Schlupp, 32, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic, is a free agent after leaving Crystal Palace last month upon the expiration of his contract.
West Brom are planning to rebuild their squad under new manager Ryan Mason, and he sees the former Eagles man’s experience and versatility as a key addition to his squad at The Hawthorns.
Schlupp made 18 appearances for Celtic last term, helping Brendan Rodgers’ men retain their Scottish Premiership title.
