Exclusive: Sheffield United respond to Leeds bids for Jayden Bogle
Sheffield United have rejected two bids from Leeds United for right-back Jayden Bogle, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old is in the final year of his contract after being handed a one-year extension this summer and Leeds are in hot pursuit.
The west Yorkshire club have submitted two offers, both of around the £4million mark but with different payment structures.
Bogle has told friends he is keen on joining Leeds and has informed Sheffield United he will not be signing an extension beyond the summer of 2025.
Jayden Bogle wants to complete Leeds United transfer
Leeds are in the market for a right-back following the £40million departure of Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window, with the 18-year-old playing the majority of his 44 league appearances last season in that position.
It is believed that Daniel Farke’s team are also assessing other candidates for the key position, one in which the club also lost stalwart Luke Ayling following his transfer to Middlesbrough.
Bogle joined Sheffield United from Derby County in 2020 on an initial four-year contract along with Max Lowe.
The England Under-20 international played 34 times in the Premier League last season under Chris Wilder and Paul Heckingbottom.

He has scored 12 goals in 103 appearances for the club, and has made 115 Championship appearances in addition to 50 in the Premier League.
Leeds are also in an advanced situation for the permanent transfer of central midfielder Glen Kamara to Ligue 1 side Rennes.
