Exclusive: Southampton make move to sign Armand Lauriente
Southampton have registered their interest in signing Sassuolo star winger Armand Lauriente, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old is available following the Italian side’s relegation from Serie A to the second tier last season.
That has alerted Southampton, who are searching for more wide attackers before the transfer window shuts.
Lazio and top clubs in the Turkish Super Lig are also keen on Lauriente, who has impressed in Serie A since joining Sassuolo two years ago.
But the Emilia-Romagna outfit have been relegated and are likely to lose the former France Under-21 international before the window closes.
Lauriente primarily plays on the left but can also star on the right wing.

He notched five goals and six assists for Sassuolo across 37 Serie A appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
The ex-Lorient and Rennes star has racked up 26 goals in 141 total appearances in senior football.
Southampton are closing in on a deal for Villarreal star Ben Brereton Diaz but are keen to add more reinforcements in attack.

Russell Martin’s side have already sealed deals for Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Flynn Downes, Yukinari Sugawara, Nathan Wood, Ronnie Edwards, Adam Lallana and Charlie Taylor this summer.
The Saints start the new Premier League campaign against Newcastle on 17 August.
In other news, Southampton will accept £20million bid for star man.
