Exclusive: St Johnstone close to signing QPR star Kieran Petrie

Queens Park Rangers attacker Kieran Petrie is being lined up for a loan move to St Johnstone, sources have told Football Insider.

Petrie, 20, has spent a few days training with the Scottish Premiership club as they wait on QPR to decide if the winger is available on loan.

The former Arsenal youngster is highly-regarded at Loftus Road and the Championship club are weighing up whether to loan him out so that he can gain valuable first-team experience.

Petrie is yet to make his first senior appearance after joining QPR from Swansea City in June 2022.

The left-footer signed a new contract with the west London club in June 2024.

He has featured for the R’s Under-21s but is yet to make the bench for the senior side.
