Norwich City first-team coach Narcis Pelach is set to be confirmed as the new Stoke City head coach in the next 24-48 hours, sources have told Football Insider.
The 36-year-old is set to land the Bet365 Stadium role after positive talks between all parties.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (16 September) that Pelach is the hot favourite to succeed Steven Schumacher at Stoke.
Negotiations have advanced and now the Potters are preparing to announce the Spaniard as their new boss.
Pelach is highly regarded in coaching circles having worked under Carlos Corberan at Huddersfield prior to his move to Norwich.
Schumacher left Stoke after just nine months in the role with the club in 13th place.
They have picked up two wins and three defeats from their first five Championship games of the season.

Pelach has previously managed CF Peralada and UE Figueres in Spain before moving to England with Corberan in 2020.
He has also worked at City Group club Girona as assistant manager.
