Exclusive: Swansea bid rejected for Leyton Orient star Ethan Galbraith
Swansea have had a £1million offer rejected by Leyton Orient for Northern Ireland international Ethan Galbraith, sources have told Football Insider.
Galbraith began his senior career with Man United, making his only senior appearance for the Red Devils in the Europa League in the 2019/20 season, before spending time at Doncaster Rovers and Salford City.
The versatile midfielder, who is also comfortable at right-back, joined the O’s in 2023 on a free transfer.
The Northern Ireland international was linked with Swansea earlier in the window, as the Swans look to bolster their squad on deadline day.
Swansea look to make Ethan Galbraith a last-minute addition
Galbraith has been a key figure for the O’s this season, with the club currently sitting sixth in the League One table.
Despite the £1million offer, Leyton Orient would be left with little time in the transfer window to replace Galbraith.
The decision to reject the offer highlights the importance that the O’s leadership places in Galbraith, as the club stand to lose him on a free transfer at the end of the season, with his contract expiring in the summer.

This season has been a major disappointment for Swansea, who currently sit 17th in the Championship, only seven points ahead of the relegation zone.
Swansea were hoping to make the Northern Ireland international their second defensive signing of the transfer window, having signed Hannes Delcroix from Burnley on loan.
The Swans have also been linked with a move for Joe Andrews, who has been a revelation for Chippenham in non-league this season.
In other news, Swansea have been linked with a move for Tyler Goodrham.
