Exclusive: Swansea City bid rejected for Lincoln City star Ethan Erhahon
Swansea City’s £600,000 bid for Lincoln City midfielder Ethan Erhahon has been rejected, sources have told Football Insider.
Erhahon 24, is a target for a host of EFL clubs after another impressive season for Lincoln.
Swansea have made the first move to try and steal a march in the hunt for Erahon by firming up their interest in the central midfielder with a formal offer.
Lincoln have turned down Swansea’s opening bid for Erhahon, but are expecting further offers for their prize asset this summer.

Swansea identify Joe Allen successor in Ethan Erhahon
With Joe Allen set to retire at the end of the season, Swansea are being proactive in their search for a replacement for the 35-year-old.
What’s more, given how impressive one-time Leeds target Lewis O’Brien has been this season, it seems unlikely the Nottingham Forest loanee will remain in Wales, further amplifying the need for midfield reinforcements.
Erhahon joined Lincoln from St Mirren in January 2023 and has been one of the standout performers for Michael Skubala’s side.
Having joined for a fee of £300,000 just 18 months ago, the Imps look set to more than double their money on the 24-year-old.
Erhahon is a tough-tackling midfielder who has proven himself as one of League One’s best duel winners (63.5%) whilst also making an impressive amount of recoveries (179) and interceptions (56) this season [FotMob].

Swansea looking to sell Jerry Yates to fund playoff push
Jerry Yates has interest from teams in both England and the USA, Pete O’Rourke revealed to Football Insider exclusively, having become a fan favourite during his stint on loan at Derby County.
Despite notching 14 goal contributions this season with the Rams, the experienced striker is expected to be sold this summer.
Having finished seven points shy of the playoffs this season, Alan Sheehan will be keen for the Swans to invest this summer for a promotion push next year.
The Jacks will likely make use of the loan market again next year, but their bid for Erhahon shows an intent to build a squad with a long-term plan in mind, given the midfielder is just 24 years old.
Luka Modric‘s investment in Swansea has been a morale booster around the club, and there will be keen interest to see how the team perform next season, with a Ballon d’Or winner involved.
