Exclusive: Vitor Pereira set for Wolves showdown talks
Wolves are preparing to sit down for contract talks with Vitor Pereira after his impressive start at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
Pereira, 56, succeeded Gary O’Neil at Molineux in late December and has masterminded a fantastic turnaround at the Midlands club.
Wolves were 19th in the Premier League when he arrived at the club but are now 16th and 14 points clear of the relegation zone.
Pereira’s contract at Molineux only runs until June 2026 after he left Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab for the role in England.
Pereira and Wolves ready to enter contract talks
The Portuguese boss came highly-rated in Saudi Arabia and has endeared himself to the Wolves fans – even visiting a local pub in the aftermath of their win over Tottenham on Sunday (13 April).
Sources say all parties are happy to sit down and discuss a contract extension in the coming months ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Wolves watch highly-rated Ligue 1 goalkeeper
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (9 April) that Wolves, Newcastle and Brentford are among a host of clubs checking on Angers goalkeeper Yahia Fofana.
Scouts from the Premier League trio cast an eye over Ivory Coast international Fofana, 24, during Angers’ clash at Paris Saint-Germain.
Fofana is regarded as one of the best young keepers in Europe and has the best post-shot expected goals (PSxG) record of any goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues this term.
