West Brom have made an enquiry for Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen, Football Insider understands.

Johansen has found himself out of favour at Fulham this season, making just four starts in the Premier League.

The Norway international played a key role in helping Fulham win promotion to the Premier League last season, but the arrivals of Jean Michael Seri, Andre Frank Zambo-Anguissa and Calum Chambers last summer have pushed him down the pecking order for a spot in the Fulham midfield.

The 28-year-old has not even been named in the squad in five of Fulham’s last six games and it appears he does not figure in Claudio Ranieri’s plans at Craven Cottage.

West Brom are keen to add some energy to their midfield before the transfer window closes next week and have identified Johansen as one of their top targets.

Baggies boss Darren Moore is hopeful of strengthening his squad before next Thursday’s deadline and he sees Johansen’s experience of winning promotion from the Championship last season as a key addition to his plans.

In other West Brom news, it can be REVEALED the club have made an approach to land a 23-year-old attacker with 13 goals and assists this season.
