EXCLUSIVE By Pete O’Rourke
West Ham have informed highly-rated youngster Vashon Neufville he will be getting released this summer, Football Insider understands.
Neufville is out of contract at West Ham this summer and the Hammers have opted against offering the full-back a new deal.
The 19-year-old joined West Ham as a 14-year-old from London rivals Chelsea and although he showed plenty of signs of promise he has been unable to break into the first-team at the London Stadium.
The closest Neufville came to making a first-team appearance was when he was named on the bench for the FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury in January 2018.
Neufville had a spell on loan at Newport County this season, but his stay at the League Two club was cut short after finding his first-team opportunities limited.
News of Neufville’s availability on a free transfer is sure to alert a number of Football League clubs who are looking to bring in a new left-back this summer.
In other West Ham transfer news, it can be REVEALED the club are tabling an offer for a £75,000-a-week star with a CV to die for.
