Exclusive: West Ham to push financial regulations with three-man signing spree

West Ham are working on three new signings despite being restricted by financial regulations, sources have told Football Insider.

The Hammers have had a difficult summer so far, and money is tight due to the need to abide by Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Sources say that despite the financial situation, West Ham are moving to add a striker to their ranks, as well as another goalkeeper following Lukas Fabianski’s departure.

Furthermore, Graham Potter’s side are eager to bring in a replacement for Mohammed Kudus, who joined Tottenham last week (10 July).

West Ham will continue to struggle despite Kudus sale

The sale of Kudus to Tottenham brought in £55million for West Ham, but they are still battling to avoid PSR punishment.

The East London side still need to strengthen their squad however, to avoid being sucked into a Premier League relegation battle next year.

Potter’s side are set to make their first signing of the summer in the coming days, with highly rated Slavia Prague full-back El Hadji Malick Diouf expected to make the switch to the London Stadium.

West Ham are also linked with Harvey Elliott, and the Liverpool attacker could come in to fill the hole left by Kudus.

EFL teams race to sign West Ham star

Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively revealed that West Ham winger Gideon Kodua is wanted by Luton Town, Reading, Leyton Orient, and Stevenage.

The EFL quartet have expressed their interest in signing the 20-year-old forward.

Kodua is likely to find himself down the pecking order at West Ham next season and they are open to loaning him out again.

He has spent the last 18 months out on loan at Wycombe Wanderers to gain valuable first-team experience.
