Noel Whelan believes Leeds United have got a “very good” player after they completed the signing of winger Raphinha.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Leeds striker and boyhood Whites fan believes the 23-year can only get better as he is yet to reach his prime.
The Yorkshire giants announced the capture of Raphinha from French side Rennes on deadline day for a reported £17million fee plus add-ons.

The Brazilian signed a four-year contract at Elland Road as he became Marcelo Bielsa’s fourth addition to his senior squad this window.
Bielsa had previously added striker Rodrigo for a record fee and defenders Robin Koch and Diego Llorente.
Asked by Football Insider whether he was excited by the signing of Raphinha, Whelan said: “I am. I thought it was a very good signing, I knew we were in the window for another winger.
“Someone of his quality, his age has been very productive for Rennes over the seasons he’s been there and he’s started his season really well. I think he finished his last game with a goal and an assist as well.
“We’ve bought ourselves a very good prospect there. I don’t actually think he’s hit his prime yet.
“Working with Marcelo Bielsa and his style of play will suit him right down to the ground.”
Raphinha only spent one full season at Rennes after he signed from Sporting Lisbon last summer.
He played 36 games for the Ligue 1 side scoring eight goals and contributing seven assists.
The winger played his last game for Rennes on Sunday where he scored their first goal in a 2-2 draw with Reims.
