Exclusive: Wolves submit deadline-busting Che Adams offer
Wolves have made an £8million bid for Torino striker Che Adams on transfer deadline day, sources have told Football Insider.
The Scotland international and his family are keen to return to England, and the Premier League’s bottom club are prepared to try and facilitate that before Monday night’s 7pm deadline.
Wolves saw a bid rejected by Southampton for Adam Armstrong on Sunday, and they have now turned their attention towards Adams in their bid to bolster their frontline in a last-minute move.
The 29-year-old has four goals and one assist from 22 games in Serie A this season, and Rob Edwards is now keen to add him to his attacking options at Molineux for the second half of the campaign.

Che Adams’ record in the Premier League
Football Insider revealed on Boxing Day that Torino had closed the door on Adams potentially leaving to re-join his former club Birmingham City during the January window, and they are now fielding more interest from Wolves.
The Black Country outfit remain rooted to the foot of the table in the top flight, and still have just 15 goals to their name all season in league action.
Adams has been identified as a player who could come in and help to change that, with Wolves hoping that he can re-discover the form that he previously showed in the Premier League with Southampton.
The frontman has rarely been a prolific goalscorer, but he has managed 25 goals and 13 assists in 138 appearances in the Premier League throughout his career, while his last campaign in English football in 2023-24 saw him net 16 goals for the Saints in the Championship.

Edwards’ men are already on the verge of being relegated to the second tier, and Adams will be seen as a player who could be a game-changer for them at that level.
Wolves push for late Kalvin Phillips deal
Football Insider revealed last week that Wolves are chasing the signing of Kalvin Phillips in the final stages of the window, as they prepare to battle Burnley for his signature.
The former Leeds United star has become an outcast since his big-money move to Manchester City in 2022, and he has endured many unsuccessful loan spells in recent years.
Pep Guardiola is prepared to let Phillips leave before the end of the window, with City keen to find a way of getting him off their books before his contract expires in the summer of 2028.
The struggling duo of Wolves and Burnley are both prepared to offer an escape route to the former England international, who has played just seven minutes of football since the start of the season.
