Exclusive: Wycombe agree to sign Bolton Wanderers star Aaron Morley
Wycombe Wanderers have agreed a permanent deal for Bolton Wandererers midfielder, sources have told Football Insider.
Wycombe have beaten off interest from several of their League One rivals to land the 25-year-old.
Bolton rejected a bid from Wycombe for Morley in the summer, with the midfielder then seen as a key part of Steven Schumacher’s squad.
But they have not accepted a new offer from Wycombe and have given the green light for him to complete the formalities of the transfer.
Morley has spent the last four years at Bolton after joining from Rochdale in 2022, where he came up through the academy.
As they attempt to set up a push for automatic promotion, Bolton are attempting to pull off a deal for Ryan Hardie in the coming days.

Aaron Morley to return to Wycombe
Morley spent the first half of last season on loan at Wycombe before he was recalled by Bolton in January.
The midfielder enjoyed a strong 23 games across all competitions with the Chairboys, scoring twice and providing four assists in his time at Adams Park.

And his strong form continued on his return to his parent club, scoring a stoppage-time winner against Exeter City in his first league match back.
This season, however, Morley has failed to rediscover the consistency he showed last season, and starts have become harder to come by.
The 25-year-old had a stint out of the team in December and has started just one of Bolton’s last 12 League One games.
Michael Duff was appointed at Wycombe in September, and he will hope to see Morley revitalised by a move to Adams Park once again.
Morley has already given his verdict on Wycombe return
Wycombe immediately attempted to bring Morley back to the club after he had been recalled by Bolton, but transfer chiefs were unwilling to meet the asking price.
With the midfielder instantly finding form for Wanderers, any potential move broke down.
Asked about a potential return to Wycombe in January 2025, Morley told The Bolton News: “I don’t have a clue what’s going to happen, I just want to keep my head down, keep playing football and you never know.
“I enjoyed my time at Wycombe but I am still a Bolton player. We just have to see what happens.”
“I has done me the world of good, I loved my time there,” he added. “But I am back, and I want to enjoy my football.”
Morley could now be set to return once again, and will hope that his second stint at Adams Park can go as well as his first did.
