Wycombe Wanderers are poised to sign former Coventry City defender Jack Grimmer on a free transfer, Football Insider understands.
Grimmer, 25, is available after seeing out his contract at the Sky Blues earlier this summer.
A Wycombe source has told Football Insider that a number of Football League clubs have shown an interest in the versatile defender Grimmer, but the club are on the verge of agreeing terms with him.
The League One outfit have moved to offer him a deal at Adams Park that he has accepted, and he is now set to pen a contract.
Grimmer has spent the last two seasons at Coventry after joining from Fulham and he played a key role in their promotion to League One in the 2017-18 season.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth feels former Scotland Under-21 international will be a useful addition to his squad as he can operate at right-wing-back, right-back and centre-back.
A deal is set to be sealed later this week for a player who the third-tier outfit are convinced is a quality addition to their ranks.
