Exclusive: Wycombe work on signing Brentford 23-yr-old after West Brom recall
Wycombe Wanderers are plotting a loan move for Brentford defender Tristan Crama, sources have told Football Insider.
The Chairboys have identified Crama as a potential replacement for Caleb Taylor following his recall to West Brom earlier this month.
Crama, 23, is currently on loan at Exeter and Brentford could decide to end the loan and then send him straight to Wycombe.
Exeter and Wycombe both play in League One, but the latter are currently pushing for automatic promotion to the Championship which could give Crama a different type of experience.
The Chairboys have only conceded 24 goals in as many games this season in League One, boasting the joint-best goal difference in the league currently.
Matt Bloomfield is looking to bolster his defensive options for the second half of the campaign in a bid to ensure the team can earn promotion.
Wycombe want to find a replacement for Caleb Taylor
Taylor being recalled by West Brom has been a major blow for the Chairboys due to how regularly he was playing for the club.
The Baggies defender had made 19 appearances in League One and scored once to help the club get into the position that they’re currently in.
Wycombe now want to find a direct replacement for the 21-year-old to ensure they continue to have stability at the back.

Crama would be able to slot straight into the starting lineup due to his experience playing in League One this season, having made 22 appearances for Exeter.
The central defender has also scored four goals for the club, proving his ability to be a goal threat at the other end of the pitch.
