Expert claims 'whole Mohamed Salah dynasty sorted' after Liverpool source's transfer update
Alex McLeish has insisted money will not play a part in whether Mohamed Salah remains at Liverpool this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland manager suggested the 29-year-old’s “ambition, thoughts and personal feelings” will determine whether he stays or goes.
Football Insider revealed last month (21 March) that Anfield chiefs are confident Salah will drop his £500,000-a-week contract demands to sign a “huge” new deal.
However, Spanish publication Sport (2 April) claim PSG are prepared to offer Liverpool a big-money transfer fee and Salah a lucrative contract to sign him this summer.
However, McLeish suggested the financial aspect would not be a determining factor in the winger’s decision making.
McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “We ask the question how much more money does he want?

“He’s probably got enough money to see the whole Salah dynasty sorted out for the next 100 years or something. I don’t think it’s the money.
“If he leaves Liverpool I think it will be the ambition – well, is it ambition? – or thoughts and personal feelings he’s got for playing for another giant team.
“That would be the only way he could leave Liverpool. He’s such a legend at the club, he’s so loved that why would he go and jeopardise that? I’m not sure PSG are at the level of Liverpool.
“He’s in the strongest, richest, best league in the world. PSG and the French Ligue 1 is a step down.”
Salah’s current contract runs until the summer of 2023.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will also be out of contract next year.
