Expert issues ‘amazing’ Arsenal claim – ‘out of nowhere’
Arsenal may have what it takes to win the Premier League after their “amazing” start to the season.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after another Gunners win.
Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League with a hard-fought win over Liverpool on Sunday (9 October).
A Gabriel Martinelli goal and a Bukayo Saka brace saw the Gunners win 3-2 despite being pegged back by the visitors on two occasions.
Arsenal have now won eight of their nine Premier League games this season, no side in the division has won as many.
When asked if Mikel Arteta’s side can win the title this season, McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild, “They have some team there, some very good players.
“Seemingly, out of nowhere, Arsenal have all of this confidence and they are playing some very attractive football, it’s an amazing thing.
“You look at the game they lost against Man United and you think about how they maybe didn’t get the best decisions in that one.
“Other than that game, they have been exceptional. They look unbeatable at the Emirates. I haven’t seen an Arsenal team this good for a long time.
“You look at the table and obviously it looks like Man City and Arsenal, Liverpool are out of it and Chelsea have been poor this season.

“It would take one hell of an effort and it is still early doors but Arsenal have a fantastic team there.
“I think we will have to see how they do when they face Manchester City.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Gunners fans now have a voice in the boardroom as Tim Lewis news emerges.
