Expert issues Everton relegation verdict after what he's seen from Anthony Gordon - 'incredible'
Everton will not be in a relegation battle this season despite failing to win so far this term.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ start to the season.
Everton drew 0-0 against Liverpool on Saturday (3 September), meaning they are yet to win in six Premier League games this season.
Lampard’s side have drawn four times this season, only losing to Aston Villa and Chelsea.
Everton finished 16th in the Premier League last season and a winless start has enhanced fears that the club may be set for another relegation battle this term.
However, McLeish insists Lampard will turn the tide at Goodison and lead the Toffees up the table.

“Everton are absolutely fighting for their lives down there,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.
“That’s one thing Lampard will give you, fight, desire, determination. Whatever has been said about transfers and the budget or whatever, the players that play will give so much.
“I saw them against Leeds the other night and they got a decent result there, Elland Road is never an easy place to go.
“They battled even though the club is in the doldrums a little bit. It’s about getting that first win on the board, that takes the pressure off a bit, it always does.
“I think they will be fine if they keep that fight, they will win games because they do have some incredible players, like Anthony Gordon.”
Everton are next in action against Arsenal on Sunday (22 September).
The Gunners have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, winning all five of their league games so far.
